In this study, the current status of Royal Palaces and Tombs cultural heritage in Korea was theoretically reviewed to derive improvement measures through the survey, and implications were derived by analyzing the current status of the disaster prevention environment, problems, and management difficulties through the four Royal Palaces. Based on this, improvement measures were proposed to preserve and manage Royal Palaces and Tombs cultural heritage from various disasters in the future. First, education and training of manpower to protect Royal Palaces and Tombs Cultural heritage should be continuously conducted to strengthen response capabilities. Second, it is necessary to systematize replacement of domestic products and parts management of foreign products to systematically manage obsolete or foreign products. Third, it is necessary to expand disaster prevention facilities that can systematically manage the large area of the Royal Tombs of Joseon.
본 연구에서는 궁능문화재인 방재환경 실태조사를 통한 개선방안을 도출하기 위해 우리나라 궁능문화재 현황 등에 대하여 이론적으로 검토하였으며 4대궁, 조선왕릉 16개소 등 실태조사를 통해 방재환경 현 실태, 문제점, 관리 애로사항 등을 분석하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 궁능문화재를 각종 재난으로부터 보존･관리하기 위한 개선방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 궁능문화재를 보호하기 위한 인력의 교육 및 훈련을 지속적으로 실시하여 대응역량을 강화해야 한다. 둘째, 노후화되거나 외산제품을 체계적으로 관리하기 위한 국산제품 교체 및 외산제품의 부품 관리를 체계화해야 한다. 셋째, 조선왕릉의 넓은 면적은 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 방재시설을 확충해야 한다.
