Abstract
The purpose of this study is to monitor the soil invasion of termites in urban hanoks and to prevent damage through preemptive control. To this end, a colony removal system was installed before termite activity began, and a total of five monitoring sessions were carried out from January 2020 to April 2021. As a result of the study, termite inhabitation was confirmed in the hanok in Gahoe-dong (2), but no traces of infestation were found in places suitable for termite habitat, such as flower beds. This means that in the case of dense urban hanoks, there are fewer cases of intrusion through the soil. The results of these studies prove the need for proactive control through monitoring, and show that monitoring between adjacent buildings can contribute to the safety of urban hanoks and the preservation of cultural heritage.
본 연구의 목적은 도시형 한옥에서 흰개미의 토양 침입 여부를 모니터링하고, 선제적 방제를 통해 피해를 방지하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 흰개미 활동이 시작되기 전에 군체제거 시스템을 설치하고, 2020년 1월부터 2021년 4월까지 총 5차에 걸쳐 모니터링을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 가회동 ② 한옥에서 흰개미 서식이 확인되었으나, 화단과 같은 흰개미 서식에 적합한 장소에서는 침입 흔적이 발견되지 않았다. 이는 밀집된 도시형 한옥의 경우, 토양을 통한 침입 사례는 적다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 연구 결과는 모니터링을 통한 사전 방제가 필요함을 입증하며, 인접 건물 간 모니터링을 통해 도시형 한옥의 안전성과 문화유산 보존에 기여할 수 있음을 보여준다.
