Abstract
This study analyzed the data that measured the slope of the orthogonal pillar in the tomb of the Joseon Dynasty to examine the slope of the pillar and investigate the cause. As a result of the study, 34 (83%) of the total 41 Jeongjagak and 70% (448) of the total 632 columns were inclined toward the front. Compared to Jeongjeon, Baewicheong had a large amount of inclined deformation, a high tendency to be inclined forward, and the longer the side length, the higher the amount of inclined deformation. The inclined characteristics of Jeongjagak seem to be related to architectural factors such as the inclined topography where the building is located, the shape in which Jeongjeon and Bewicheong are arranged, and resistance to lateral force by installing walls and windows.
이 연구는 조선 왕릉 정자각 기둥의 기울기를 실측한 자료를 분석하여 목조 건물이 기울어진 양상을 고찰하고 그 영향 요인을 규명한 것이다. 연구 대상 정자각 41동 가운데 34동(83%)과 전체 632개 기둥의 70%(448개)가 전면(前面) 방향으로 기울어진 것으로 나타났다. 정자각을 구성하는 정전과 배위청의 기울기를 비교한바 배위청의 변형량이 더 크고, 전면 방향으로 기울어지는 경향성이 높게 나타났으며 건물의 측면이 길어질수록 기울기 변형량도 증가했다. 이에 대한 원인은 건물이 위치한 경사 지형과 정전과 배위청의 배치 형태, 벽체 및 창호 설치 여부에 따른 횡력에 대한 저항력 등의 건축적 요인과 관계가 있는 것으로 보인다.
