Abstract
This study aims to investigate the emotional safety as an important factor in enhancing safety and well-being of construction industry workers. To achieve this, exploratory factor analysis and multiple correspondence analysis were conducted. The factor analysis revealed that the SSEIT measurement tool was classified into 6 factors. A high correlation was found between the necessity of emotional safety scale and demographic characteristics such as "yes" responses, experience of over 15 years but less than 20 years, occupations (construction work, fire-fighting equipment construction), education level (college graduate), and age groups (50s, 30s, 20s, 40s). The study proved the reliability of the SSEIT measurement tool for assessing emotional intelligence of construction site workers and identified the similarity between the necessity of emotional safety scale and demographic characteristics. Therefore, it suggests actively utilizing this scale to enhance emotional safety on construction sites, contributing to improving safety management and the well-being of workers in the construction industry.
