Abstract
The purpose of this study is to seek an alternative method for existing educational process for repairing Korean traditional clay tile roof established for cultural heritage maintenance workers affiliated to Korean Cultural Heritage Maintenance Institute by applying VR (virtual reality) technology which is one of the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. For this purpose, it was started by analysing the organization and activities of the cultural heritage maintenance workers. Thereafter, theoretical researches were conducted about VR technology and possibility of introducing a digital educational tool for repairing and maintaining Korean traditional clay tile roof were sought. The meaning of this study can be found in that it suggests a new way for the cultural heritage workers to train themselves easily and repeatedly by turning the existing educational process that requires time and cost into virtual reality environment using VR ‧ AR Production Support Centers.
본 연구는 각 시 ‧ 도에 위치한 문화재돌봄사업단에 소속된 문화재돌보미들을 위한 번와교육 프로그램에 4차 산업혁명 기술 중 하나인 가상현실(VR)기술을 적용하여 기존 교육방식의 대안을 찾는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 우선 문화재돌봄사업단과 문화재돌보미의 구성과 활동 그리고 이들을 위한 기존의 번와교육방식을 조사 및 분석을 하였다. 그 후 가상현실(VR)기술에 대한 이론적 고찰을 수행하였고 번와교육을 위한 디지털 교육도구로써의 활용 가능성을 모색하였다. 본 연구는 물리적인 시간과 기상조건에 지속적으로 영향을 받는 기존 번와교육을 가상현실화 하여 문화재돌보미들이 쉽게 그리고 반복적으로 훈련할 수 있는 방법을 제안하는 것에 의미가 있다고 본다.
