Abstract
This study experimentally evaluated the lateral load resistance and structural behavior of traditional timber building walls according to their wall configurations. Wall specimens based on the standard Specifications for Repairing Cultural Heritage and walls with large-section Jung-gis were tested under lateral loading. The results showed generally similar load-displacement behavior between the two wall types. The average maximum load of the wall based on the Standard Specification for Repairing Cultural Heritages was approximately 1.11 times higher, while the initial stiffness of the large-section Jung-gis wall was approximately 1.03 times higher. Difference were also observed in crack initiation and propagation, indicating that wall configuration can affect the lateral load resistance and damage behavior of traditional timber building walls.
본 연구에서는 전통목조건축물의 벽체 구성 방식에 따른 수평하중 저항성능과 구조적 거동을 평가하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 시방서 기준 벽체와 대단면 중깃 벽체를 제작하여 수평가력 실험을 실시한 결과, 두 벽체는 전반적으로 유사한 하중-변위 거동을 나타냈다. 평균 최대하중은 시방서 기준 벽체가 약 1.11배 높았으며, 초기강성은 대단면 중깃 벽체가 약 1.03배 높게 나타났다. 또한 두 벽체는 균열의 발생 위치와 확장 양상에서 차이를 보였으며, 이를 통해 벽체 구성 방식이 수평하중 저항성능과 손상 양상에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인하였다.
